The “Bathroom Leak” That Was Actually a Failed Roof Vent
Sunnydale, Morinville, AB · June 2026
Why they called us
The homeowner called about a water leak showing up inside near a bathroom. A previous contractor had tried to fix it from the inside — but the water kept coming back, because the actual problem was never on the inside at all.
They needed someone to stop chasing the stain and find where the water was really getting in.
Our solution
We went up on the roof and traced the leak to a failed roof vent, where water had been getting past a worn seal and running down into the home — nowhere near where the stain appeared inside.
The crew removed the failed vent, installed a new one, and flashed and sealed it properly into the surrounding shingles so the roof was watertight at the real entry point.
The result
The leak was fixed at its actual source instead of patched from the inside again, so the problem is genuinely solved — not hidden until the next rain.
The homeowner got photos showing exactly what was wrong on the roof and what we replaced, backed by our 1-year workmanship guarantee.
